A Christmas Story     by. Joshua E.

It was a snowy night. Carlos was wide awake while his brother was asleep. Carlos was thinking about Christmas day. It was Christmas Eve and everybody was asleep except Carlos. Carlos wondered what presents he would get. Carlos heard a jingle in the night sky, and saw a sled with reindeers. But he knew that Santa wasn’t real. Just then a sled crashed through the roof. He saw Santa knocked out with his reindeers still standing. Carlos walked over while his brother was still asleep. Santa groaned. “Uh, what happened?” Santa said with more groans. “You crashed through my roof!” Carlos said in a concerned voice. Santa stand up. “Oh no, I haven’t completed my present route!” Santa yelled. “Kid, you have to save Christmas!” said Santa. Carlos thought about this. He didn’t believe in Santa, but now he believed. “Ok, I will!” said Carlos in a proud voice. Carlos hopped into the sled. “By the way, you can go in my bed. Your head probably hurts.” Said Carlos. Santa got into his bed. Carlos put on Santa’s hat. Carlos wasn’t going to start sending presents yet. He needed help.

His first stop was his friend’s house. His name was D.J. He didn’t know what D.J meant. He flew through the night sky. He landed on D.J’s roof. He choose to go through the chimney. Luckily, his family always slept by the Christmas tree. D.J was sleeping on the couch. Carlos started shoving D.J. “D.J, wake up!” Carlos yelled! “AAAAAAAHHHHHH!” D.J yelled and jumped off the couch. “Carlos! What are you doing here?” D.J said. “You have to help me! Santa needs our help!” Carlos said. D.J believed in Santa. “Really! Where?” said D.J, excited. D.J followed Carlos to outside. “Wow, Santa’s sled! And oh! His reindeers! There more awesome in real life then on TV!” D.J said, really excited. “Calm down! We have to deliver all these presents by morning! Thankfully, Santa has an electronic map that says where we need to go.” Carlos said. They both hopped in the sled. “And off we go!”

That night, Carlos and D.J went all around the world. They saw many cool things. There were many struggles. Storms, people throwing rocks at the sled. Carlos was acting crazy the whole time. He gained a bunch of weight. All the cookies the kids left for Santa was fattening. After they delivered all the presents, Carlos dropped D.J at his house. Then Carlos went to his house. “Good job, kid.” Santa said. But Carlos was asleep.

Carlos woke up. It was all a dream. It was morning but his brother was still asleep. Carlos went down stairs. Presents were around the Christmas tree. This is going to be the best Christmas, Carlos thought. And it was.
